Privacy policy
Last updated 25 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data legaljobs.bd (“we”, “us”) collects, why, and the choices you have. It is written as a clear starting point and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before public launch.
Who we are
legaljobs.bd is a dedicated job platform for the legal profession in Bangladesh. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, phone, and your role (seeker or employer).
- Seeker profile: headline, bio, experience, practice areas, locations, skills, Bar enrolment details, and your uploaded CV.
- Employer data: organisation details and the job posts you create.
- Activity: applications, saved jobs, saved searches, and reports you submit.
- Verification evidence: documents you upload to support a verification request.
How we use it
- To run the service — matching, applications, and employer screening.
- To send transactional email (sign-up, application updates, alert digests) via our email provider, Amazon SES (Singapore).
- To verify identities and keep the platform free of scams.
Who can see your data
- Your CV and verification evidence are stored in private buckets and are never publicly downloadable. Employers can access your CV only after you apply to their role, via a short-lived secure link.
- Employers see applicants’ professional headline and verification status; your legal name is not shown to employers by default.
- Our staff access data only to operate verification, review and safety queues.
Storage and processing
Data is stored using Supabase Singapore (Postgres database and file storage). Email is delivered through Amazon SES (Singapore). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your profile and CV at any time from your account.
- Unsubscribe from any alert email with one click.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing us.
Retention
We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards as needed for legal and operational purposes, then delete or anonymise it.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do.
